About us

OUR COMPANY

Microomics is located in the Research Institute – Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, which provides a scientifically stimulating environment and a sustained growth framework.

Involved by the international research center CRG (Center for Genomic Regulation, www.crg.es) and by ICREA (Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies, www.icrea.cat), Microomics currently combines a mixed business model where service and innovation go hand in hand, contributing to the development of our own service and product, as well as new knowledge in the analysis of microbial communities.

Through a 360º and personalized service, our goal is to promote knowledge of the impact of these microbial communities and -omics technologies. Through our developments, we seek to promote strategic alliances in emerging sectors.

2017

MICROOMICS IS BORN

We rise as a spin-off of the Center for Genomic Regulation, at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park.

2019

OWN LINES OF RESEARCH

We evolve to a mixed model with the incorporation of 2 Torres Quevedo, which allow us to have our own lines of research.

2022

WE RELOCATE AND WE TURN 5

We relocate our offices and laboratories at the Institut de Recerca – Hospital Santa Creu i Sant Pau, and it’s our 5th anniversary!

2018

360º SERVICE

We add sequencing and molecular biology services to provice a complete service.

2020

INNOVATIVE SME

We are awarded a Neotec CDTI and the Innovative SME seal.

MISSION

To transform NGS data into knowledge. The passion for research is shared in our team and our work contributes to the technological development of our society and its different sectors.

VISION

To become the reference partner for metagenomic, transcriptomic and bacterial genomic analyses. Combining service and R+D+i, we aim to be a comprehensive platform for the development of products and services linked to the analysis of the microbiome.
