Nerea Carrón

Nerea Carrón graduated in Genetics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and later specialized in Genomics in the Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics at the same university, reinforcing her interest in massive sequencing techniques.

She began her professional career at the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), which gave her a more clinical view of bioinformatics, and which she later combined with another stay at the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (IBB), where she focused on population genomics. In addition, she gave theoretical and practical classes on different subjects related to bioinformatics in the Biology and Genetics degrees at the UAB, completing her expert profile in this field.

Contributing with new proposals, energy and efficiency, Nerea is a key member of the Bioinformatics department of Microomics. Throughout her tenure at the company, she has had the opportunity to develop projects across various fields and origins, enriching her professional experience. Leveraging her organizational and management skills as well as her experience, Nerea leads the Bioinformatics department, ensuring the efficient coordination of projects, resources, and technical requirements.
