Sandra Herranz
Molecular Laboratory Technician
Sandra Herranz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).
Throughout her professional career, she has worked in R&D laboratories, plant biotechnology, and molecular diagnostics. This multidisciplinary background has provided her with a versatile perspective on laboratory work, with particular expertise in advanced molecular biology techniques, next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation, and process standardization.
She joined Microomics Systems S.L. driven by her interest in advancing microbiome research through cutting-edge sequencing technologies. In her role as a Laboratory Technician, she is actively involved in sample processing, protocol optimization, and the implementation of new methodologies, contributing to the quality and continuous improvement of the company’s projects.
