Graduated in Chemistry from the University of Valladolid (UVa, Spain) with a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Research (MIB) at the Institute of Biology and Molecular Genetics (IBGM) of the Spanish National Research Council at the Faculty of Medicine in Valladolid.
She also has complementary training in the 1st year of the Higher Degree in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis at the Ramón y Cajal Institute in Valladolid, as well as attending various training courses in Genomic Medicine, Genetics and Genome Editing, in order to continue to grow in the professional field.
Her career has allowed her to specialise in the area of Molecular Biology, specifically in the applications of massive sequencing (NGS). Due to her professional experience, she has been able to acquire competences in this field both in clinical genomics and in agri-food, human, animal and environmental metagenomics.
Cristina is characterised by her planning and organisational skills, attention to detail, responsibility, ability to work as part of a team and her ongoing learning desire.
